I first discovered Malaya Organics through my friend, Tricia who introduced me to the brand and the founder, Katya while on one of our trips wandering through Chelsea Market. It didn’t take long for me to be captivated by the unique scents and intriguing product offerings of Malaya Organics, as well as Katya’s warm personality. While there are so many amazing, luxury natural skincare brands, Malaya is one I’ve kept tabs on for high quality, organic, botanical and ethically sourced ingredients that blend effective aroma-therapeutic properties in every product.
I really enjoy using the Malaya Organics Rejuvenating Face Serum. The formula is perfect for treating my perpetually dry skin. Whenever I use this serum, my skin always feels smooth, firm, and nourished. I find that with regular use, my skin tone and texture appears more even and helps soothe any irritations, thanks to the active botanicals and anti-inflammatory ingredients such as Siberian Cedar Nut Oil and Gardenia Absolute. The serum’s organic and wildcrafed ingredients also provide a soothing and pleasant scent, that to me combines light woody notes with a hint of sweetness. Lightweight and fast absorbing, this face serum can be worn both during the day and in the evening. Since I’m more prone to using facial oils at night (I just prefer using creams in the morning), I love using this serum right before bed or adding a drop to my daytime moisturizer to ensure a punch of hydration. This facial serum also has a uniquely beautiful look with its round bottle packaging (the 25ml size), and a press-top dropper for very easy and precise application. While there are many lip balms that I love, Malaya’s Lavender Lip Savior is quite a treat (or TREATment–haha) for dry lips! Simply formulated with ingredients known to promote intense hydration and nourishment such as jojoba oil, lavender, chamomile, and vitamin E, the Lip Savior will quickly help soothe and rejuvenate dry, chapped lips. This lip balm also tastes fresh and smells pleasantly of lavender. I love how soft and hydrated this keeps my lips. This lip balm is a bit narrow in size for my personal preference, and quite soft in texture (you could easily smash the balm against lips if you are not gentle enough), but I do enjoy how pleasant it feels on my lips and the lovely scent. Malaya’s Moisturizing Body Oil is truly a product that your skin will savor. It’s deeply moisturizing without being too greasy and heavy, yet it locks in hydration so that your skin feels smooth, nourished, and never dry. I also love that you don’t need a lot of this quick-absorbing oil to cover your entire body. I am smitten with the Woods scent, it not only envelops you in soothing aromas to make you feel like you’ve been transported among fresh nature, but also deeply soothes the senses, thanks to botanical essences such as vetiver, bergamot, sandalwood, and Bulgarian rose. Plus, the elegant glass packaging and pump provides attractive yet mess-free and exact application, another thing I admire in an all-around perfect body oil.
