Wellness in Beauty: W3LL People Bio Tint Multi-Action Moisturizer & Expressionist Liquid Eyeliner

Along with their chic, refreshed packaging and in-store intro at Target stores nationwide, W3LL People recently added a couple of brand new products to their offerings. Their new Bio Tint Multi-Action Moisturizer and Expressionist Liquid Eyeliner were the two products that I was most curious about trying out and to my delight, available at my local Target store.

I’ve been using the Bio Tint Multi-Action Moisturizer in the shade, Light for a couple months now and think I’ve found my new daily, go-to TM. Housed in a convenient, toteable pump packaging, the formula is gentle, creamy, and lightweight with a light to medium sheer coverage, and a dewy finish. This tinted moisturizer also has SPF 30 broad spectrum protection which is definitely a plus for a daily facial product.

Like their other products, W3ll People identifies the Bio Tint Multi-Action Moisturizer as an “all natural makeup/skincare hybrid”, incorporating natural pigments to correct imperfections, active organic ingredients to improve and rejuvinate skin. Standout ingredients such organic coconut oil, broccoli seed oil, pomegranate oil, and algae extracts are just some luxurious, plant-based notables in this hypoallergenic, chemical free, cruelty free and noncomedogenic formula.

While the Bio Tint Multi-Action Moisturizer doesn’t completely cover red spots or serious acne, it provides a very nice, overall evenness to skin and also leaves skin very hydrated. I like how fresh and soft my skin looks and feels from using this product- the result is subtle, glowing, and perfect for daytime wear. I also appreciate how the formula effortlessly sinks into my skin, never feels irritating, and lasts even after a full, eight-hour day. Using my fingers or a moist BeautyBlender provides the best application and allows for quick absorption and the ability to spread smoothly across skin.

Top to bottom: Bio Tint Multi Action Moisturizer in LIght, Bio Correct Concealer in Light, Expressionist Liquid Eyeliner.

There isn’t an extensive variety of colors available (there are just 3 shades,) though I found shade #2 to be the best match for my skintone. I actually think W3LL People’s tinted moisturizer shades match up pretty well to their Bio Correct Concealer counterparts (I use concealer in shade, Light). I purchased the concealer before the tinted moisturizer and it has been a daily makeup staple for me. I find the concealer to be much more pigmented than the tinted moisturizer.

Compared to my favorite tinted moisturizers, I’d categorize this one as the best daily-use tinted moisturizer, especially since it contains SPF, is moisturizing, and lightweight with good light coverage. To transition to evening makeup, I’d add a bit of translucent or tinted powder over it. (Check other tinted moisturizers I’ve tried and reviewed here.)

W3LL People’s new Expressionist Liquid Eyeliner is another eye-catching new product (no pun intended). I don’t normally wear liquid eyeliner but thought it’d be fun to try this one out especially with high-performing claims. Right off the bat, the Expressionist Liquid Eyeliner’s super slim, gentle paintbrush tip is top notch. I’ve used other clean liquid eyeliners before and no brand has really gotten the liner applicator right. W3LL People nailed it with a thin, sponge-like brush applicator that ensures extremely precise, neat lines. For even an eyeliner noob like myself, I was impressed with how perfect my eyeliner looked after only one stroke.

Suffice to say, as with all liquid eyeliners, there is a learning curve and I definitely need more practice with using this more often. The precise applicator is a work of art, and I think liquid eyeliner pros will really like this. The slim brush has really upped my liquid eyeliner skills!

As to the non-smudging, non-flaking claims to this formula, I would say it sort of lives up to the hype. My eyeliner started smudging perhaps a good half-hour into wearing this, but I will say I have probably the world’s oiliest eyelids. No joke. I haven’t met a non-toxic primer or eyeshadow that is a match for my eyelids. The smudging wasn’t major though the product still does not stay quite as permanently as I’d like. I was looking forward to depending on this to wear for long events such as weddings, however, I can’t be bothered by checking my eye makeup every minute, so I’d reserve this for more everyday, no-fuss activities. nor any flaking. This eyeliner does remain quite pigmented (even for eight hours), is not drying to the point where it is irritating, and I’ve never experienced any flaking. For what it’s worth, this is an actual clean liquid eyeliner that does what it’s meant to do and could be the replacement for your dirty eyeliner.

The packing is also so sleek and palm-sized, it’s easy to travel with and reapply on-the-go. Overall, I’d definitely recommend this eyeliner for it’s outstanding brush and unbeatable natural formula. Just be wary of the long-lasting claims if you have oily eyelids like mine.
