New Releases Radar // 20

It’s been a while since I shared some new releases, but that doesn’t mean there has been a lack of them in the green beauty world. Here are a couple new green beauty releases that are currently on my radar:

RMS Beauty’s supplements: Looks like RMS has jumped on the beauty supplements train! The brand recently added two dietary supplement products with their new Within collection: the Probiotic + Prebiotic, and the Women’s Digestive Enzyme described to enhance one’s beauty “within”. RMS claims that with regular use, the Probiotic + Prebiotic supplement will support overall health and “promote a healthy immune system and digestive function, promote skincare, hair, and nail health, support the growth of normal beneficial bacteria in the gut and inhibit others, promote a health microflora in the gut”. The Women’s Digestive Enzyme claims to “support regularity” for women, “supports enhanced nutrient absorption from food,” and promotes the “breakdown of difficult to digest foods”.

The supplements are made in the U.S. from “domestic and imported” vegan ingredients, and are available in 60-capsule bottles (one month supply) or can be purchased up to a three month supply (180 capsules, 3 bottles). These are pretty pricey for beauty supplements, but if you’re all about that RMS, minimalist-luxe lifestyle and willing to shell out some devotee cash, these might be right up your alley. Like all her beauty formulations, I’m going to bet Ms. Rose Marie Swift also did a great job researching and developing the efficacy of these supplements. RMS Beauty, $64 (for 1 bottle), $114 (for 2 bottles), or $156 (for three bottles) each.

Kjaer Weis Powder- Translucent: Kjaer Weis had previously only featured cream-based makeup products. Slowly but surely, the brand started to expand into other realms of beauty, recently developing a luxury facial oil, lip and eye pencils, and now their first pressed powder product: a translucent powder. In true minimalistic-chic fashion, the product name is actually called, Powder and the shade is Translucent (does this mean there’ll be other colors, or pressed powder makeup products soon?!). Featuring plant-based ingredients such as rice powder, argan oil, sunflower seed oil, the CCPB certified organic product is produced in Italy, and is vegan and cruelty free. The brand claims this finely-milled pressed powder “leaves a soft-focus, light-filtering finish” and can be used in multiple ways, “to set makeup, or alone to control shine and even out skin tone.” The product comes in a beautiful, signature KW mirrored and silver, magnetic, refillable compact, and powder refills can be bought separately. The beautiful, new Powder Brush was designed to apply this product, and is made from hypoallergenic synthetic fibers.  If there’s one green luxe translucent powder to invest in, this might be the one. $58 for 0.21oz/6g, $36 for refill. Also available at The Detox Market, Integrity Botanicals.

Kjaer Weis Lip Gloss: I couldn’t resist adding KW’s new lip gloss release to this list! I mean, how gorgeous is that packaging?! While it may just look like a fancy lip gloss (and I’m not a fan of lip gloss anyway), the brand’s goal was to create a product that is smooth, semi-sheer and without heavy stickiness. KW herself wanted something that wasn’t too “glossy”, which I’m definitely into. Certified organic and cruelty free ingredients like castor seed, sunflower seed, and rosehip oils leave lips hydrated and conditioned. The Lip Gloss is also refillable (what other lip gloss do you know that does that?!) and available in 5 beautiful shades within the nude-pink families. I’m definitely curious as to whether this would be a lip gloss I’d actually like! $38 each. Also available at Credo Beauty and Integrity Botanicals.

Pai Skincare Back to Life Hydration Serum: Pai’s latest release is a “product for people who can’t tolerate serums.” The Back to Life Hydration Serum is specifically formulated for those with sensitive and eczema-prone skin, designed to provide hydration without irritation. This serum’s carefully formulated ingredient list helps boost the skin’s ability to retain moisture, protect against moisture loss through retaining hydration, and keep skin feeling conditioned. Pai’s founder, Sarah Brown describes the new product as one that “delivers proven, long-lasting results and feels beautifully lightweight and calming- like a glass of water for the skin.” Given my love for everything from Pai, this new product also sounds like something my dry, sensitive skin would benefit from! $78 for 30ml/1fl oz. Also available at The Detox Market.

Sappho New Paradigm: Formerly, the cult favorite Canadian brand, Sappho Organics, is now Sappho New Paradigm. The brand rolled out a beautiful, simplistic new look in branding and packaging, and have also reformulated products and created some new ones. There are now two foundation formulas: the Essential Foundation (I reviewed and loved the older version of these here), which is now free of coconut oil (customers had complained about breakouts) and includes a base of certified organic aloe juice and organic jojoba oil, as well as organic shea butter making this a lightweight, sheer coverage foundation; and the New Paradigm Foundation, a moisturizing foundation that provides more coverage (10%-15% more coverage than the Essential Foundation, according to Sappho) and includes organic coconut oil, jojoba oil, coconut oil, and shea butter, and is alcohol free. Overall, the brand’s products look far more “grown up” and substantial than past products, and includes some interesting new products that could compete for attention among other brands’ offerings, such as the Brow Pomades, Primers, and Shimmers (illuminating cream products). Sappho is a brand I think that is highly underrated in the green beauty community and more people ought to know more about the great products offered from this longstanding leading brand. I’m really interested to try everything from the new Sappho! Sappho New Paradigm. Also available at The Detox Market and Integrity Botanicals.

100% Pure Creamy Long Lasting Lip Liner: I’m not much of a lip liner-gal, the two times I’ve worn it have been at my high school prom and on my wedding day, but I think there’s something to be said about a creamy, lip liner that could double as a lipstick. I’ve never like lip liners due to constantly dry lips and the hassle of reapplying. The new lip liners from 100% Pure sound nourishing enough to provide all-day comfort, while being available in a variety of nice shades. Spanning across six universal colors, the Creamy Long Lasting Lip Liners feature jojoba and pomegranate oils to provide precise, smooth application, while natural fruit pigments packed with antioxidants deliver vibrant, long-lasting color. Knowing how gentle yet pigmented 100% Pure products are, this might be a lovely formula that could make me rethink lip liners. $22 for 0.04oz/1.14g, available at Integrity Botanicals.

Odacite Black Mint Cleanser: I don’t think I’ll ever doubt Odacite’s stellar ability to continue developing extremely unique, yet greatly effective skincare products. No matter how cool the concept is (like a matcha powder-to-foam cleanser), Odacite always delivers in high quality ingredients and results that truly impact the skin. The new Black Mint Cleanser is a slated as a gel-to-foam cleanser that “delivers an instant deep cleanse, eliminating excess oil, impurities, environmental toxins and makeup.” Featured natural ingreidents that contribute to these gentle and nourishing, deep-cleansing properties include activated charcoal and rhassoul clay, peppermint and tea tree oil, and gentle apple wash (derived from apple amino acid). The brand claims the results from using the Black Mint Cleanser will clear, invigorate, and mattify skin while preserving hydration. The cleanser includes 100% natural ingredients, is GMO free, vegan, and works best for combination, oily, or acne-prone skin. Sounds like another innovative cleanser from Odacite that will definitely deliver! $39 for 100ml/3.38oz. Also available at The Detox Market.
