New Releases Radar // 18

Wow, I didn’t realize how long it’s been since I’ve chatted about new releases out in the green beauty world! Of course there have been lots of amazing products on my radar in the past few months, but here are a few that are at the top of my list:

Maya Chia Highlight of the Day Illuminating Serum: I could never really relate to the extreme bronzer trends, but the whole highlighter and “strobing” obsessions are a bit more interesting to me. How about a highlighter in a facial serum? That’s basically what Maya Chia is offering with their The Highlight of the Day Illuminating Serum, a nutrient-rich facial serum featuring high quality natural, organic, wildcrafted ingredients, and a pearlized mineral sheen.  The Illuminating Serum treats your skin while you wear your makeup, I’d say that sounds like a win-win! The Serums are available in two shades: Happy Hour (rose gold) or Golden Hour (natural gold). I feel like the idea behind this product sounds quite similar to my beloved Gressa Foundation Serum (also all-in-one makeup + skincare product) and I am SERIOUSLY lusting over these highlighter colors! Isn’t this just the perfect product to brighten up your winter skincare routine? $42 for .5oz, BeauTeaBar

New Nudus Lipstick shades: One of my favorite organic lipstick brands, Nudus has recently released five beautiful, new shades: Viva– the perfect everyday, dreamy pink, Amalia– a sheer pink wash of color (lighter in pigmentation than the others), Ruby Rose– raspberry red, Zo Zo– a bright pop of purple, Dreamtime– a neutral shade with pinkish/red undertones and a sister shade to the ever-popular, 27 Kisses. I’m loving the wearable, mauve-pink-purple vibes going on in these latest releases (my favorite kind of lip colors), making it all the more difficult to choose just one! I personally love Nudus lipsticks because they are extremely pigmented, color lasts all day on the lips, and are very moisturizing.  The formulas contain certified organic ingredients including organic cold pressed oils, while the pigments are derived from bioactive ancient ayurvedic colors and extracts. 100% Pure Bamboo Blurring Powder: A lot of new, loose translucent powders have been out on the market recently but one that caught my eye was the Bamboo Blurring Powder from 100% Pure. This loose, finishing powder consists solely of bamboo silica (natural, vegan, and cruelty free), with claims to be lightweight, silky, and perfect for blurring skin imperfections. The Bamboo Blur Powder packaging sits in a clear jar with a meshed screen covering it, meant to easily sift powder onto a puff or brush. I think that’s a nice touch to ensure applying just enough product. 100% Pure claims this powder can be used alone or on top of makeup and, “fine lines and pores are diminished, makeup lasts longer, shine is controlled, and skin looks soft-focused and radiant.” I just received this product to review and I’m really looking forward to trying it out! Review to come soon. $39 for 0.2oz, 100% Pure

W3LL People tinted moisturizer, liquid eyeliner, color duos: W3LL People has been nailing it not only with their chic, revamped packaging but also with all the awesome new releases! (Plus, all W3LL People products are now EWG Verified.) The first product that caught my eye was the Bio Tint Multi-Action Face Moisturizer which includes broad spectrum SPF 30. This tinted moisturizer seems to mirror the success of the Bio Correct Multi-Action Concealer (which I have and really love using) and has claims to have many skin benefits along with natural, sheer coverage, premium plant-based ingredients. W3LL People calls it an “all natural makeup/skincare hybrid” because not only does it provide sheer coverage but includes “active phytonutrients and pure zinc” to nourish, brighten, and improve skin for a more “flawless, natural, more radiant complexion.” It currently comes in 3 shades (looks to be the same as the concealer shades) and housed in a travel-friendly, pump-bottle tube. When I saw my local Target had stocked the beauty section with a brand-new W3LL People shelf, the tinted moisturizer was the first product I snatched up. (Check your local Target stores!) I got it in shade 2, which is similar in color to the “Light” shade of their concealer and is a perfect match for me. $28.99, 1.2oz, The Detox Market

The next exciting W3LL People product (which I also picked up at Target,) is the Expressionist Liquid Eyeliner. This liner boasts an natural, plant-based, water resistant formula, with claims that it does not fade, flake, or smudge. I also have a lot of faith in W3LL People because I love their mascara so much and it never irritates my eyes. This Eyeliner contains a fine, felt-tip applicator for ultimate precision and is said to be “hyper pigmented for inky color that lasts long into the night.” I also love the super compact packaging, making it perfect for traveling or toting around. $17.99, .1oz,  The Detox Market

Finally, W3LL People also released two travel-friendly compacts: the Natural Contour and Highlight Duo: containing a cream bronzer and highlight, and the Nudist Multi-Use Duo: containing two multi-use cream products for use on lips, cheeks, and eyes. Both Duos are packaged in chic, mirrored compacts  with the intent to minimize the number of products you need to travel with or keep on your vanity. Looks to me like these Duos contain the same formulas as the brand’s, high-performing cream products that come in full-size tubes. These compacts seem to be a cost- and size-efficient solution for anyone. $24.99 each, W3LL People

Antonym Cosmetics Lola Lash Too Mascara: Antonym Cosmetics seems to have updated their mascara offering with the new Lola Lash Too Mascara. The mascara has quite an innovative-looking wand: not only is it a tapered shape (perfect for separating and boosting lashes), it’s also flexible! Antonym claims this feature allows the wand adjust with each application, coating lashes evenly while also lengthening and separating at the same time. Lola Lash Too features an advanced formula using quality organic ingredients, “based on emollient, nourishing and moisturizing ingredients such as Shea butter and vitamin E.” The formula protects lashes and prevents clumping, specifically: “Beeswax and Carnauba build volume while sweet almond oil promotes lash growth.” How wonderful does this mascara sound?! $26, Credo Beauty

May Lindstrom The Wanderlust Collection: Luxe, luxe, luxe! That’s all my brain screams when I think of May Lindstrom and now even more so thanks to the latest, Wanderlust Collection. This beautiful limited edition collection features the complete May Lindstrom product range in travel-sizes, “cradled” within the brand’s new vegan, leather envelope clutch. The gorgeous, handcrafted in Los Angeles, black clutch features a magnetic closure, and can effortlessly double as a makeup bag or evening purse. In this luxury collection you receive: The Pendulum Potion 30ml, The Honey Mud 15ml, The Clean Dirt 30ml, The Problem Solver 30ml, The Youth Dew 5ml, The Blue Cocoon 5ml, The Jasmine Garden 30ml, The Good Stuff 20ml, The Treatment Brush, and The Mini Clutch. The thought behind the Wanderlust Collection is “to deepen your ritual and celebrate your skin wherever this magical life takes you.” Valentine’s Day/treat yo self wish gift list, anyone?! $360, May Lindstrom Skin
