New Releases 11

There’s something about summer that causes a crazy surge in new and exciting product releases.  A Night For Green Beauty (ANFGB) also happened this month in Chicago and many brands released new products or sneak peeks in time for the event. I generally distance myself from the seasonal frenzies (to protect my wallet and my sanity) but I had to share some of my favorite, lust-worthy new releases:

Soul Sunday Seacliff Summer Collection: I’m still head over heels for this beautiful, natural skincare and fragrance brand created by a commercial filmmaker and photographer (see my review here). My heart almost stopped when I realized Soul Sunday released a new collection for summer: Seacliff. As always visually appealing and with quality 100% natural ingredients, the new collection features a pinkish hue to all the products and seems to be inspired from nature, summertime and the freedom of the outdoors. “The sea cliff, a peak of earth above crashing waters, where you can look towards the horizon and see a million miles, engulfed in a salty breeze. a magical place where you are so comfortably free.” The collection features a new aromatherapy roller (you know I’m a fan of these), facial exfoliant, cleanser, and a texturing hair spray. Just take the description of the the new Seacliff aromatherapy roller:”Seacliff is an aromatic blend of fine essential oils and extracts that embody the feeling of summer freedom and escape. sweet and bright with coconut, grapefruit, and neroli blossom, balanced by earthy australian sandalwood.” Just dreamy, right? Another beaut of a collection, Soul Sunday! $16-$22 at Soul Sunday.

CAMP Yin Yang Balancing Facial Oil: I’ve been drooling over this simplistic Canadian skincare brand ever since seeing it at Seed to Serum’s shop and on Sonja’s blog. I love that the brand highlights wild-crafted ingredients with beautiful, simplistic packaging, and most products aren’t even too pricey. CAMP’s newest release is the Yin Yang Balancing Facial Oil meant to “rebalance and rejuvenate the complexion for glowing, hydrated skin.” With a pretty pink-tint (because that color totally lured me) and delicious summery ingredients like watermelon seed oil, cherry kernel oil, pomegranate seed oil, and pink grapefruit peel essential oil, the Yin Yang Balancing Facial Oil not only sounds enticing but a truly beneficial skincare item. Hopefully I’ll try some CAMP products soon after I finish up a ton of skincare products. (#Beautybloggergoals, guys…) $36 at CAMP or Seed to Serum.

Acure Organics SPF 30 Continuous Spray: Though I’ve tried to resist it, my lazy habits do creep into my personal care routine more often than not. Sometimes I get a bit jealous of how conventional products seem to make lazy habits easier and spray-on sunscreens are one such thing. Acure Organics has created a non-chemical, broad spectrum SPF 30 mineral sunscreen spray made from healthy, natural ingredients and non-nano zinc oxide. It claims to be lightweight and contains argan oil to moisturize and nourish skin. Plus, you can’t beat that price for an organic, sunscreen spray! $12.99 for 6 fl. oz at Acure Organics.

100% Pure Maracuja Oil Sheer Air Cushion Foundation: I was really into Korean beauty and skincare before and sometimes I’m so tempted by all the interesting ingredients and adorable packaging. Air cushion foundations: sheer, BB-cream-like-foundations housed in portable compacts with sponge applicators, were always something I was curious about but never tried after noticing all the questionable ingredients. 100% Pure is one of the first green beauty brands to take a hint from popular K-beauty trends and has created the Maracuja Oil Sheer Air Cushion Foundation full of 100% natural ingredients with a nice range of eight colors from porcelain to dark tones. Not only does this Air Cushion Foundation look cute, but the new serum-like formula provides a sheer and dewy, hydrating glow with healthy skin benefits from cold-pressed maracuja. Plus, you can also purchase foundation refills from 100% Pure to be used in this compact. $48 for 0.32oz, $38  for 0.32 oz refills at 100% Pure.

Treat Collection Gentle Nail Polish Remover: I have been loving the luxe, 5-free nail polishes from Treat. (I’ll have to review them soon!) Now the Berlin-based brand has released a soy-based nail polish remover to go along with the its beautiful collection of nail polishes. The formula contains nourishing ingredients like pure argan oil, and vitamins A, C & E for healthier nails. It also “does not contain acetone or harsh acetates which damage nails, cuticles and dry out the skin.” If it’s anything like their nourishing, super pigmented, long-lasting nail polishes, the Remover will surely be a high quality, gentle product. As I haven’t found a great, non-toxic nail polish remover yet, I’d love to try this one out! $24 at Integrity Botanicals or The Detox Market.

Axiology Lipstick in Virtue: I’ve been loving the lipsticks from Axiology, (see my review here) also another brand featured at A Night For Green Beauty. Known for bold and beautiful lip colors and organic, cruelty-free, vegan formulas, Axiology just released a gorgeous new shade called, Virtue. It’s described as “a light, golden orange that glistens in the sun and is perfect for summer.” I personally love orange-toned lipsticks (I love Voila from ILIA), especially for summer. I’m very curious about Virtue, it looks beautiful! And I know that Axiology’s standout formula will not disappoint. $28 at Axiology.

Kypris Body Elixir Inflorescence: Another fairly new brand that’s been killin’ it everywhere (including at ANFGB) is the skincare brand Kypris. This holistic, high-performance skincare brand features organic, wild crafted, and sustainably grown botanical ingredients. While Kypris has mainly offered high-end facial serums that have been described as “holy grail” by many, the brand finally released a body serum that sounds like it is just as luxe as their well-known face products. The Inflorescence body serum is described as a “non-greasy, multi-active body oil” with a potent and nourishing blend of organic, wild crafted, co-op grown botanicals that softens, tones, boosts luminosity and elasticity of skin while also diminishing the appearance of sun-overexposure. The scent is described as “bursting with the essence of bitter orange blossoms”. I haven’t tried anything from Kypris before and though I’m still curious about the facial elixirs, I’m also really intrigued by this beautiful new Body Elixir. $95 at Kypris, BeauTeaBar, or The Detox Market.

Which of these new releases are you most excited for? What are some other new products you’re lusting over?

Most excited to discover CAMP (never had heard of them – love their site and on wish list!) and to try the ACURE spray sunscreen (I only use sprays!) and 100% Pure Maracuja Foundation (and Mascara). Question: Does Soul Sunday disclose ALL of their ingredients on their website? If so, I will add them to my Wish List, too!

I love the CAMP website and branding too! Yes as far as I know Soul Sunday does disclose all their ingredients. The formulations are very pure and simple! I would shoot them an email if you want extra details though. Glad I could add a few more brands to your wish list 😉 xo

FYI – I wrote Kara and she says that the product labels provide the full ingredient list but the website does only for some products; for others, only key ingredients are listed. She is working on an online full ingredients list tab for all products. 😉

Thanks Molly! I know, I wish the 100% Pure site had better images or swatches for matching purposes. The brand has told me that for this product the effect is a bit more sheer and the shades are true to 100% Pure’s usual range of colors. I snagged one in the shade I normally get in the Tinted Moisturizer, White Peach and I’ll be testing and reviewing it soon 🙂

I’m really loving the Treat nail polish remover. It’s already available here in Europe. Firstly there is absolutely no smell whatsoever, I even put my nose almost into the bottle to make sure and yes, couldn’t smell a thing. Secondly, does its’ job and doesn’t leave nails and cuticles feeling dry. I also love the big bottle and the look of it, it’s very clean. A winner for me!
