Abbott NYC Creates Sustainable, Clean Fragrances Inspired by Adventure

Abbott NYC clean fragrances

Clean fragrance brand, Abbott NYC creates eco-conscious scents that are inspired by the essence and memories of natural places.

Each Abbott fragrance captures the sensory experience of exploration and adventure in natural destinations like Montecito, Big Sky, and Telluride. These locations are reflected through Abbott’s fine ingredient curation. Formulas are unisex, sustainable, cruelty-free and vegan.

Abbott uses a carefully curated combination of natural botanicals and safe synthetic ingredients, which do not include parabens, phlatates, or sulfates. (See the full breakdown in their ingredients list here.)

The brand also donates a portion of all proceeds for every full size product purchased to a local cause that supports the environment. Most are organizations that support the locations that Abbott has named their fragrances after.

Each fragrance is packaged in a beautifully slim, transparent glass bottle that has a convenient spritz top. The modern and simplistic design would fit nicely with anyone’s collection of grooming products (male or female). It would be easy to mistake these leading, clean-er fragrances to less healthy, mainstream ones.

The $75 price is also very affordable for 50ml/1.67 fl. oz size of eau de parfum when compared to either other luxe clean or mainstream scents on the market. I think you get quite a good amount and standout fragrance performance for the price. Their products are available at Credo.

Montecito Eau de Parfum:

Fresh, fruity, and bright, Montecito is “inspired by road trips along California’s Central Coast” and reminds me of a crisp, sunny day. I love the effortless cool and cheerfulness of this scent, it has just the right amount of citrus and woody notes, that make it deep and warmer, the more you wear it. It’s lightweight but not totally subdued, and would smell equally lovely on a woman or a man. I am normally not a fan of woodier scents like vetiver, but the citrus and floral notes (I’m a sucker for anything that includes jasmine) nicely combine to provide an overall airy and clean scent that I really enjoy wearing.

Montecito is my favorite out of the two Abbott scents I’ve tried. It is a great daily fragrance that is not overpowering, and blends in nicely throughout the day. I can still smell the fragrance on my skin even after 8 hours of wear, and it’s easy to control the scent’s ability to be more subtle or stronger depending on the amount of fragrance you spray.

Top note: grapefruit, mid note: jasmine, base note: vetiver.

Crescent Beach Eau de Parfum (previously called Shelter Island): Soft, floral, breezy, Crescent Beach is “ inspired by summers spent among the flowers and breezes of Long Island, New York.” This scent is definitely reminiscent of the ocean. I find it to be more sultry than Montecito, and in my opinion makes for a perfect evening or “going out” scent. The strong floral scent definitely comes through, especially the notes of peony and lily, and the grounding base notes of amber musk. I think the floral notes make this scent slightly more feminine, but it also smells quite fresh and uplifting.

I find myself using smaller amounts of Crescent Beach if I do wear it in the daytime, as I find it to be a bit overpowering for my sensitive nose. I would reserve this scent for evenings or special occasions. While it’s a bit too musky to my liking, this scent does prove to have great depth and is definitely long lasting.

Top note: Peony, mid note: lily, base note: amber musk.

Bought the Abbott “Exploration” set (eight piece tester) as a gift and it was the PERFECT beginner’s scent kit! The recipient was pleasantly surprised and now equipped to go on their journey to find their perfect scent. Which will undoubtedly be one of the 75ml options. Thanks for the rec!
