I took the quiz to find out which Wild Grace products were right for me according to the Doshas, and I learned that I’m a mix of Vata and Kapha, which I definitely agree with.
Wild Grace kindly sent me some products from the Kapha line for me to try. The brand states, “According to Ayurveda philosophy, The Kapha dosha is made of the elements of earth and water which can tend to bring feelings of heaviness or stagnation when in excess.” Therefore products reflecting this Dosha can bring together energizing and uplifting qualities to balance out the heavy nature of Kapha. The feeling of heaviness and stagnation definitely resonates with me, and I often seek activities that help to energize and uplift my body and spirit.
Initially reading that the common skin “issue” the Kapha Serum intends to resolve is oily and irritated skin, I wasn’t sure the product was right for me. However the serum still works wonders on my skin, which is more on the sensitive/dry side of the spectrum. This facial oil deeply moisturizes, leaving my skin feeling supple and ultimately brightens a dull complexion. The formula includes a lovely mixture of organic oils (safflower, camellia, grape seed, argan, and evening primrose oils), known for powerfully nourishing and revitalizing skin.
After each use, my skin feels hydrated, smooth, and soothed. The serum is lightweight and pleasant to wear at night and during the day, it never feels heavy or greasy. Sometimes I add a drop into my daily cream moisturizer for an extra oomf of hydration. The scent is very unique and satisfying. The Kapha Body Oil embodies a product that adds a bit of energy and uplifting spirit to my skincare routine. I’ve enjoyed using this immediately after showering as it locks in moisture and deeply nourishes skin over time. This body oil promotes smooth, glowing, and firm skin with each use. My skin always feels hydrated and supremely soft after using. The scent is a bit strong and herbal for my usual taste but the warm, woodsy scent invigorates the skin and leaves me feeling soothed and grounded. $48, Kapha Body Oil- Invigorate, 100mL, 3.4 fl oz.
I’ve been wearing the Kapha Perfume as a daily fragrance, a light and uplifting scent that is earthy and spicy, with a tiny hint of fresh floral. I always feel a bit more awake and soothed when I apply this perfume. It smells lovely throughout the day and creates a unique signature scent as the gentle fragrance mixes into my skin. Whenever I need a bit of energy or a moment to refresh the scent, I swipe a bit more of this perfume on my wrists or neck.
The texture is silky for an oil-based perfume and melts effortlessly into the skin. Hints of cinnamon, cardamom, and jasmine provide sweet yet earthy infusions into this pleasant, energizing fragrance. It provides a lovely daily scent that can be built up for intensity, yet also beautifully melts into the skin, naturally mixing with body heat.
