May Flowers Head-to-Toe Giveaway With Philtre

There are so many unique and interesting brands at Philtre, many of which I have never tried before. Heidi was kind enough to send me samples of all the giveaway products so that I could share about my experiences with all of them:

Innersense Organic Beauty Pure Harmony Shampoo and Conditioner: Although I have found some great products, my hair is still not 100% transitioned to green haircare. Though I don’t expect much from most green shampoo/conditioners for my picky hair, I was very pleasantly surprised with how well Innersense’s Pure Harmony Shampoo and Conditioner worked for me. The Pure Harmony line formulated with organic plant extracts and oils especially to provide lightweight, hydrating, and detangling results for all hair types. I going to be blunt: I wash my hair every night because that is just what my hair needs and though some hair products make washing my hair daily a nightmare, the shampoo and conditioner from Innersense did not make my hair freak out at all. In fact, my hair felt healthy, clean, and hydrated but not greasy. The Pure Harmony Conditioner has an interesting pomade-like texture that has a nice hold and a sweet, fresh scent that is lovely to use once or twice a week. I am loving this duo from Innersense! Persephenie Rose Paka Face Cream: As much as I love using oils on my face, I can never pass up a good face cream. The Persephenie Rose Paka Face Cream has a unique, whipped texture that is very lightweight and soft, with a sweet and invigorating rose scent. I like that the consistency is rich yet very airy and hydrating on my dry skin. This cream is formulated with “botanical extracts of rose, helichrysum, pomegranate, and calendula work synergistically to restore and renew.” I’ve loved using this soothing cream to heal dry spots on my face and especially to heal my skin after being in the sun. Hurraw! Vanilla Lip Balm: I’m always weary of cult followings around lip balms. I mean, it’s just lip balm right? So wrong. You should believe the hype about Hurraw! lip balms, they really are that great!  Made in the USA and formulated with raw, vegan, and organic ingredients, this lip balm is SOO hydrating and keeps my lips moisturized all day. I was impressed with how little I needed to reapply it, and my lips are usually dry all year round. Though it may be an aesthetics preference, I really love the oval shape of the balm. Not only is the design unique, it also seems to be the perfect shape to apply on the lips. Affordable, long-lasting, moisturizing, not greasy, and with so many fun flavors, Hurraw! balms may be my newest lip obsession. (I’ve been using this so much everyday that I forgot it was still in my purse when I decided to take my products photoshoot, hence the missing Hurraw! balm in the main photos. Oops.) Apothekerri Amber Rose Fizzy Bath Melt: Sweet-smelling and beautiful in composition, this gorgeously made bath fizz is almost too good to use! I have not had the luxury of trying it out yet but I am really looking forward to a nice soak. Cruelty-free, natural, and made by hand in small batches, Apothekerri Bath Melts not only provide soothing aromatherapy effects, the skin-benefiting ingredients like cocoa butter and bicarbonate soothes and softens skin. The Amber Rose Fizzy Bath Melt is an intoxicating and relaxing scent featuring “Rose and rose petals spiked with rose geranium, amber undertones from vetiver, labdanum, benzoin and a drop of patchouli, raw honey for sweetness”. Supracor Stimulite Body Mitt: I’m always curious about unusual skincare products and this body mitt from Supracor is definitely something I have not tried nor had even heard of before. This body mitt does more than just clean and exfoliate skin, the special honeycomb design is supposed to extract toxins and combat cellulite. I haven’t been using it long to see if I never need to exercise again (haha!) but I do love the invigorating feeling that this Body Mitt provides while I’m in the shower. Initially, the material feels a bit rougher on the skin than your average loofa due to the difference in volume and texture, but I do feel as though this Mitt gives my body an extra oomph of something more and seems to get my blood flowing.

Jao Goe Oil: I love the unique consistency of this body oil! Housed in a lightweight, silver tube (that reminds me of a toothpaste tube), this body oil is formulated with some amazing 100% natural ingredients like jojoba butter, avocado butter, shea butter, and palmarosa oil. The yellow tinted Goe Oil has a thick, buttery-solid consistency yet when exposed to heat or friction (rubbing it against your skin), it liquefies into a luscious body oil that easily sinks into to skin and is deeply moisturizing.  The scent reminds me of walking through a tropical field of flowers and I’m transported to Hawaii. Plus, this body oil is multipurpose: it can be used an an all-over moisturizer, a makeup remover, and even in the hair.  3 oz for $48
