Scents That Transcend: Christy Organics Natural Perfumes + Giveaway

I’m officially declaring my natural perfume rut as OVER. Done and DONE! When Christina Siau founder of Melbourne-based, Christy Organics reached out to me to introduce her handcrafted and natural perfumes line, I was more than intrigued. I was still riding on the success of finding a semi-natural and clean perfume from Lavanila Labs and was very willing to see if other natural fragrance products could keep me on this beauty high. Let me just say, my expectations have been exceeded. As I’ve said, I’ll take a spray perfume over a roller-ball or oil any day but with Christy Organics natural perfumes, I’m making a huge exception to the rule. Now, I can’t go anywhere without these amazing, handcrafted scents and that’s the truth. 

Housed in a dainty, clear glass bottle, Christy Organics roller-ball fragrances are sleek and chic enough to carry around in your purse or travel bag without adding any extra weight. To me, these scents are luxurious and high-performing even comparable to my old, favorite toxic perfumes. I also love that the scents smell slightly different on everyone (as tested on my family members and some friends); these fragrances can truly become your own.

I carry a bottle with me in my purse everyday for a boost of fragrance and refreshment. The fragrances are currently available in 3 scents, all of which expertly mingle complementary and unexpected notes: Satisfaction (sweet and fresh), Abundance (spicy and warm), and Urbane (floral and earthy). I’m not one for herbal-y, earthy scents and I don’t find these perfumes to be offsetting in any way. If you’re not into more “herbal” smelling products but like natural, fresh and energizing scents, these perfumes are for you.

Aside from being portable and pretty, my favorite aspect of Christy Organics perfumes is that the scent lasts. I can get a good 4+ hours of strong, noticeable scent out of these perfumes and feel that I only need to reapply to my own liking. I never need to reapply this perfumes because the scents linger on the skin and last all throughout the day. I find that I only reapply because I just can’t get enough of the scents. To apply, one simply needs to shake the bottle, apply the fragrance oil to pulse points (on wrist, neck and sternum, behind ears and even the ends of hair). Your skin’s heat will activate the natural aromatics and plant concentrates, releasing a uniquely captivating scent while the organic jojoba oil melts into your skin.

Satisfaction: My absolute favorite of the perfumes, this is my everyday fragrance. Satisfaction is sweet and fresh with notes of vanilla and flowers. It’s an uplifting, light fragrance that also is very feminine-smelling to me. This clean, fresh scent definitely satisfies (sorry, I had to) my luxurious perfume tendencies, it’s a daily staple for me.  Ingredients: Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) oil*, Dipteryx Odorata (Tonka Bean) Absolute, Vanilla Planifolia (Vanilla Bean) oil*, Myroxylon Balsamum (Tolu Balsam) Absolute, Myristica fragrans (Nutmeg) Oil, Piper Nigrum (Black Pepper) Oil *Denotes Certified Organic ingredient

Abundance: The woody, earthy scent of the bunch, Abundance is a bit too herbal for my liking. It’s musky and spicy with notes of sandalwood, clove and patchouli while mixed with sweeter notes like frankincense, vanilla and grapefruit. Reminds me of strong herbal remedies that seems very Asian-influenced.

Urbane: Light and rejuvenating with a hint of spice, Urbane seems to be right in the middle of Satisfaction and Abundance when it comes to combining natural notes of sweetness and woodiness. Urbane reminds me of warm cinnamon with a light mixture of musk. Thanks to notes of French lavender, vanilla bean and sandalwood, Urbane is rejuvenating and energizing.
