A True Work of Art: Nūdus Lip Euphoria

Nūdus lipsticks are a true work of art. From the elegant and sleek white packaging, standout certified organic formulas and colors, to the simplistic, artful packaging details, these lipsticks are unique natural lipstick gems. As a certifiable lipstick addict, I was more than ecstatic to give these buzz-worthy lipsticks from Down Under a try.

Handcrafted in small batches in Sydney, Australia, Nūdus Lip Euphoria lipsticks are formulated with certified organic, food-grade ingredients.  Certified COSMOS Organic by Australian Certified Organic (ACO) the most recognized certification body in Australia and throughout the world, the Lip Euphoria formula took over 2 years to create. The formula features 27 active naturals incorporating superfoods, antioxidants, vitamins A, B, C, D, E and K, essential fatty acids and anti-aging ingredients all aimed to hydrate, protect, and nourish lips.

Nūdus “Lip Euphoria” features a gorgeous array of shades, all of which are derived from bioactive ancient Ayurvedic color extracts made from flowers, fruits, herbs and minerals with organic cold-pressed oils (like pumpkin, kiwi fruit, raspberry, pomegranate, argan and moringa). The Ayurvedic pure bioactive color extracts serve dual purposes of bioactivity and therapeutic function in the “Lip Euphoria” lipsticks. Not only do these color extracts provide long-lasting color and safer active moisturizing properties, all color extracts used in Nūdus products are chosen based on their health-benefitting properties based on the traditional Ayurvedic medicinal system.

Think that’s a little out there for you? Either way, I’m still so impressed by the Nūdus ingredient list, especially in terms of the purity and efficacy. (Note: products contain certified organic beeswax and may colors contain carmine.)

I was generously offered to try out 3 Nūdus products of my choice. I chose “Dirty Diana” (a bold, sultry red), Just Like Jade (a maroon-mauve), and Survivor (a bright, blue-toned pink).

It’s safe to say that now I’m a total Nūdus convert as every product I tried was a total love affair! Each lipstick was extremely smooth and hydrating even for my perpetually dry lips. While the color pigmentation and lasting effect was simply out of this world. I wear the “Lip Euphoria” products to work, where I’m always drinking tea or eating snacks thoughout the day, and the lip colors just do not budge. I’m not exaggerating. I can wear Nūdus lipsticks for over 8 hours and still have lasting color on my lips with no irritation or dryness present.

The colors are just beyond beautiful, it is a hard decision to chose a single favorite. Dirty Diana is the perfect red for my skintone, it’s not too bright or orange but the perfect amount of bold crimson for a sexy, evening look or just a regular, everyday color. I’ve gotten so many compliments on it!

Just Like Jade is another great everyday lip color for me. I love that this maroon-mauve shade is dark and moody but at the same time very neutral with a hint of sparkle (the color looks more brown in the tube than came out in this picture). For me, it is a deeper shade of “my lips but better”. The color is really unique and becoming a favorite among my lipstick collection.

Survivor is a must-have bold pink that really makes a statement. I’m not usually drawn to many pink lip colors because some shades really wash out my fair, olive-toned skin. I love Survivor because it’s not too pastel nor too florescent and rather more of the deep, fuchsia tone. This is a bright lip color that I think could actually be fitting for every skintone out there.

I cannot say enough about these amazing lip products. I’m trying to be good, but I’m already eyeing up the next colors that I want! (Or perhaps, just the entire collection!) The only downside to these gorgeous, wonder-working lipsticks? The hefty $32 price tag. But this shouldn’t come as a surprise if you’re looking for a top-notch certified organic lipstick that delivers high-quality pigmentation, long-lasting, moisturizing wear with kick-butt ingredients. Can your pricey, toxic lipsticks do all that? Didn’t think so.
