Expert Curation From The Detox Market’s Best of Green Beauty Box 2017

The Detox Market always knows how to kick the new year off right by curating their Best of Green Beauty Box, featuring top customer-favorite products from the past year. I’ve always turned to The Detox Market for their great selection in organic and natural beauty and skincare products, ranging from classic brands that have been my favorites, to exciting, lust-worthy discoveries. These limited edition boxes are wildly popular and never seem to stay on the shelves for too long, so head over to The Detox Market ASAP to snag one before they’re sold out! Read on to see what was included in the 2017 Best of Green Beauty Box and my thoughts:

The 2017 box includes:
– ODACITÉ Green Ceremony Cleanser
– JOSH ROSEBROOK Hydrating Accelerator
– MV SKINCARE Rose Soothing and Protective Moisturizer
– THE BEAUTY CHEF Collagen Inner Beauty Boost
– RMS BEAUTY Vintage Cake Liner
– LILY LOLO Natural Vegan Mascara
– SOAPWALLA Sensitive Skin Deodorant Cream
– RAHUA Shampoo + Conditioner
– DAVIDS Natural Toothpaste

MV Skincare Rose Soothing Protective Moisturizer (full size, 2.4 oz): I’ve always wanted to try this luxe, Bulgarian rose-infused moisturizer that has a cult following among beauty bloggers, celebrities, and beauty/skincare professionals everywhere. The simple, organic formula is gentle, yet substantial on skin providing deep hydration and smooth, even texture. Ingredients like camellia oil,  jojoba oil, and rose essential oils provide a super-hydrating and soothing formula that  is perfect for extra-sensitive skin types. I like that it is nourishing enough to keep my dry, sensitive skin feeling moisturized, smooth, and supple throughout the day, without feeling extremely heavy or greasy. I’m going to be in trouble when I finish this bottle because I am now falling in love with quite an expensive moisturizer…until that day comes, let’s just say I’m hooked! P.S. the value of this product alone just about pays for this entire beauty box, so just keep that in mind! [Value is $135, The Detox Market.]

Josh Rosebrook Hydrating Accelerator (travel size, 2 oz): Still one of my favorite, luxury toner picks, this product is also still a customer-favorite at The Detox Market, and for good reason! It’s actually much more than a toner, it’s “a combination hydrator, toner and a light moisturizer all in one”.  High-quality organic ingredients such as aloe water, evening primrose oil, sea buckthorn oil, and calendula enhance hydration, deliver active nutrients, relieve redness, and soothe and heal skin. This product ensures all-over hydration and long-lasting nourishment, never failing to keep my skin supple and glowing. I always recommend the Hydrating Accelerator to friends with dry or irritable skin and while most are doubtful, after initial use, it has become predictable for me to see how everyone ends up falling in love with this product. Not only have I been a fan of Josh Rosebrook’s expert formulations since the beginning of my green beauty journey, this specific product has the best scent ever: I describe it as a delicious blend of light, airy flowers and marshmallows—just something you have to experience to know how amazing it is. This is definitely a worthy product pick! [Value is $20 for travel size, The Detox Market.]

Odacité Green Ceremony Cleanser (full size, 5 oz): Inspired by the brand founder’s trip to Japan, this luxurious cleanser incorporates the four founding principles of the traditional tea ceremony to each skin cleansing step when using this product (purity, respect, harmony, and tranquility). With star ingredients, matcha and spirulina, this unique cleanser provides a deep, purifying cleanse, while helping to treat the skin for a healthy and fresh complexion. Also included is a small measuring scoop to ration out the powder, and a muslin cloth to remove cleanser from skin. When activated with water, the powder transforms into an airy, almost-gelatinous, foam that feels soft and soothing when applying to skin. The powder-to-foam cleanser draws on powerful ingredients with many purposes: removing excess dirt and dead skin, treating and reducing breakouts, calming inflammation and redness, reversing free radical damage through potent antioxidants, and creating a soothing, calm cleansing environment. While, it takes longer than your average daily cleanser, the Odacité Green Ceremony Cleanser surely is a beautiful product that is not only effective, it provides a tranquil time to respect and celebrate your skin. I love using this unique cleanser! [Value is $55, The Detox Market]

Davids Natural Toothpaste (full size, 5.25 oz): With its beautifully recyclable metal tube and chic, minimalistic branding, you’d think Davids’ toothpaste is more expensive than it really is. Not only is it affordable for the size, it is made from premium natural ingredients including a peppermint essential oil blend, to taste fresh, but does not contain any artificial flavors, sweeteners, colors, or preservatives. The toothpaste is also made in the USA, and safely and effectively whitens teeth, fights plaque, and freshens breath, while also is cruelty free, fluoride free, and sls free. The formula is really gentle, fresh-tasting (without tasting artificial), and makes my teeth feel clean. Even my husband likes using this toothpaste! I also appreciate this product’s durable, recyclable packaging and that every box contains a metal tube key to make pushing out toothpaste easier and neater. [Value is $7.95, The Detox Market]

Rahua Shampoo and Classic Conditioner (travel size set, 60 ml each): I’ve written about Rahua shampoo before and really do love these hair products. The brand features “rahua” as the star ingredient in their formulations, an oil derived from a nut in the Amazon rainforest known to be potent treatments, effective at repairing damaged hair and providing healthy, lustrous hair. Rahua products incorporate high quality, 100% natural, organic ingredients that gently yet effectively cleanses and brings life to any type of hair. I’ve only had great experiences with Rahua products and will always go back to this luxury shampoo and conditioner (this Classic line is my favorite, I’m not too fond of the other product lines due to my straight and oily-prone hair). The only downside is their more expensive price tags (about $35 for each full-size bottle). These are classic natural/organic hair products that every green beauty needs to try at least once. [Value is $16.50 for travel set, The Detox Market]

Lily Lolo Natural Vegan Mascara in Black (full size): I cheered when I saw this mascara in the box! This mascara from Lily Lolo is among my top three favorite natural and organic mascaras (see my past review here). In my opinion, the Lily Lolo mascara is best for volumized, long lashes. The full brush is perfect for combing and fluffing lashes to the max, while the formula is smooth, long-lasting, pigmented, and never smudges or flakes whenever I apply it. I also love that this mascara is vegan, free of tons of harmful and irritable ingredients such as fragrance, silicones, alcohol, talc, lead, parabens, and preservatives. I simply love this mascara and recommend it to everyone! [Value is $20, The Detox Market]

RMS Beauty Vintage Cake Liner (full size): Within the past year, RMS Beauty has really expanded their collection beyond solely cream-based products and this pressed eyeliner, the Cake Liner was one of the newly released products. The sleek, stylish, single-pan package is really nice and holds quite a lot of product. I don’t wear eyeliner on a daily basis and if I do, I prefer a pencil or crayon format since I’m always in a rush to get ready. I know I need to make time for the RMS Cake Liner, however. It’s a beautiful, deep black shade that’s surprisingly pigmented and even more surprisingly, does not easily crease nor smudge on my oily eyelids. The matte, pressed powder eyeliner can be used wet or dry (I like using it with my Bdellium Tools 760 liner/brow brush), can be easily drawn thin or built up thick, and can also be worn as an all-over eyeshadow. The simple, natural formula does not irritate eyes and still performs very nicely. I never thought I’d be so happy with a pressed powder eyeliner before and will continue to use this more! [Value is $24, The Detox Market]

The Beauty Chef Collagen Inner Beauty Boost (travel size): I don’t normally use dietary supplements, but I have been curious about The Beauty Chef products. This is one of their new liquid supplements and it is designed to “increase the skin’s production of collagen and promote a radiant, naturally plumped complexion from the inside out.” It’s also rich in antioxidants, which help “combat cellular damage and support health skin, hair and nail growth.” Could definitely use all of that! This specific product contains  a certified organic blend, which the brand describes as “a bio-fermented probiotic elixir” of maqui berry, acai, papaya, blueberry, goji-berry and pomegranate powders with grape-seed extract, zince, and vitamin C. [Value: $16 for travel size, The Detox Market]

Soapwalla Sensitive Skin Deodorant Cream in Lavender Mint (full size): This Brooklyn-based brand has a cult following for its deodorant creams, but also offers a simple line of basic, yet effective skincare and body products. The Sensitive Skin Deodorant Cream is a baking soda-free formula, which is ideal for those with reactive underarms. The formula utilizes “superfine vegetable powders, charcoal, and clay to absorb moisture”, as well as “lavender, peppermint, cajeput, and palmarosa” to prevent bacteria and ensure a long-lasting effect. I do not use deodorant on a normal basis (read more here) so I don’t think I will be trying this deodorant, but I have heard many ravings from my friends about this particular deodorant. [Value is $16, The Detox Market]

This box costs only $149 for nine products valued at a total of $310+, which is definitely a steal! (There are six full size products included out of the nine, which is a good deal in itself!) Not only do I love the value of the Best of Green Beauty Box, but also admire the fact that it’s a great way to try out top-performing, luxury green beauty products you might have been lusting over, for a fraction of the price. So don’t miss out on this box, there are only a limited amount available! Purchase your box here.
