Sunnier Days Ahead: April Goodbeing Box

April Goodbeing Box

Pardon this late post, it’s been quite a busy month! My April box from Goodbeing came at a convenient time, right before my Bachelorette party weekend! I always love receiving trial-size products before a big trip since I’ll be able to try out new things and easily bring less with me. Overall, I was very impressed with this month’s box and how appropriate they were to take with me on my weekend trip to Myrtle Beach!
Goodbeing Bonnie Mask

Bonnie Pore Refining Rose Mask: The size of this facial mask is really nice to travel with and I was happy to have it while traveling. Sometimes you just need to mask while away from home! I’ve only tried a lip gloss from Bonnie that I’d received from a previous Goodbeing box (nothing so special I’d write home about…) but I was intrigued by this mask. Formulated with soothing nutrients of rose including rose hydrosol, Bulgarian rose absolute, and rose petals, the claims of this facial mask are, “pulls out impurities, promotes collagen renewal, and improves hydration.” I generally like products containing rose-infused/based ingredients for its soothing, detoxifying properties and this mask delivered. I’ve used it a few times already and my face feels very smooth and hydrated after each use, and I’ve also noticed clearer pores. The only issue I have with this mask is that the texture is very watery and chunky in consistency. A bit messy to travel with but overall, a really nice product. $16 for full size (3oz).
Ingredients: Kaolin clay, bentonite clay, Rosa damascena (rose) water, water, witch hazel distillate, aloe barbadensis leaf juice, rose flower petals, Pinus massoniana (pine) bark extract, hydroxypropyltrimonium honey, Rosa damascene (rose) flower oil, glycerin, panthenol, hydrolyzed oats, gluconolactone*, sodium benzoate*, Salix nigra (willow) bark extract, Simmondsia chinensis (jojoba) seed oil, Jasminum sambac (jasmine) flower oil, caffeine extract (from coffee beans)

Goodbeing MyChelle Sun Shield Clear Stick

MyChelle Sun Shield Clear Stick SPF 50: I was so happy to see this included with this month’s box! My skin is very sensitive, fair, and prone to burning so I’m always aware of protecting my skin from the sun. I normally prefer using moisturizers with SPF or applying a separate sunscreen. This mineral-based SPF stick is very convenient for traveling or for daily use and it is incredibly easy and mess-free to apply all over the body or on the face. I carried this around with me in my beach bag in Myrtle Beach and it was awesome for SPF touch-ups throughout the day. The formula is very smooth and applies clear. My skin doesn’t ever feel dried out or cakey when I use this product though I will say it appears more on the dewy side, which doesn’t necessarily bother me. The scent of this product is also very pleasant and light, almost like a mix between chocolate and graham crackers. (I’m not kidding! haha.) “Made without GMO, Gluten, Parabens, Petroleum, Phthalates, Silicones, Sulfates, Ureas, Artificial Fragrances, and Artificial Colors. Vegetarian. Cruelty-free. Reef Safe and Biodegradable.”

The Sun Shield Stick provides UVA and UVB protection, is water resistant (up to 80 minutes), and is deeply moisturizing. The formula contains nourishing ingredients like shea butter, avocado oil, and jojoba seed oil while that chocolate-y scent is probably due to the cacao seed butter. I’ve used MyChelle skincare products in the past and trust their clean, natural formulas. I also like that they are affordably priced and can be found at Whole Foods. I will definitely be using this Sun Stick all throughout spring and summer and I’d definitely buy this on my own! $12.50, .5oz
Ingredients: Active Ingredient: Zinc Oxide 17%, Inactive Ingredients: Beeswax, Bisabolol, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Calophyllum Tacamahaca Seed Oil, Cannabis Sativa Seed Oil, Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax, Jojoba Esters, Octyldodecyl Olivate, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Oil, Oryzanol, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, Tocopherol

Goodbeing Moondani Breath Spray

Moondani Breath Spray: This all-natural breath spray is definitely very unique and I was pleased to see it in my Goodbeing box. This is probably the first time I’ve ever used a breath spray but I sincerely enjoyed it and now can’t imagine not having it in my makeup bag! The Moondani breath spray is simply made with organic, natural, and non-gmo ingredients: distilled water, organic vegetable glycerin, ginger extract, cardamom oil, fennel oil, and natural flavors (food oils). I was skeptical of how well this breath spray would work but the delicious minty taste and a fresh, long-lasting effects impressed me. You simply shake well and spray 1 to 2 times in the mouth for an instant cooling and minty refresh. It’s easy, effective, and serves as a stronger and perhaps, healthier alternative to popping a mint. Whenever I use this, my breath and my teeth always feel as clean and fresh as when I brush my teeth, and the effect does last. Not to mention, this breath spray is very affordable and a great size for keeping in your purse! I will definitely buy this in the future. $7.50, 5mL
Ingredients: distilled water, organic vegetable glycerin, ginger extract, cardamom oil, fennel oil, and natural flavors (food oils). No additives, preservatives, alcohol, or sweeteners!

Goodbeing HAN eyeshadow

HAN Skin Care Cosmetics Eyeshadow in Chocolate Bronze: I’d never heard of this brand but was excited to see an eyeshadow included in my box. HAN eyeshadows (available in 4 colors) are 100% all-natural rice powder based, using plant-derived colors, natural pigments and infused with argan oil, vitamins, and tea extracts to nourish and benefit the skin. This gorgeous, rich and bronzed brown color is definitely right down my alley and more surprisingly, it’s even more stunning when applied! Silky smooth, incredibly buildable, and iridescent without being overly sparkly, this eyeshadow is perfect for spicing up an everyday look while also ideal for a sexy, smoky evening eye.

Goodbeing HAN Eyeshadow Chocolate BronzeChocolate Bronze seriously goes on the eye like butter! Of course, it doesn’t last all day on my oily eyelids, but the staying power is not too shabby. I get a good 3 to 4 hours of wear before noticeable creasing. I also love the flip-top compact that this eyeshadow comes in. I’m completely blown away by this product and definitely look forward to trying more from HAN! (They sell eyeshadow, blush, and lipgloss.) $13.50, 0.11oz/3g

Goodbeing Juice Organics hair products

Juice Organics Volumizing Shampoo & Conditioner: Not to be confused with Juice Beauty, I have heard of this organic haircare line before as they are sold in Ulta and Target stores. I’m not too fond of shampoo samples that come in flat, foil packaging as I always seem to spill the product everywhere in the shower so that was a bit of a deterrent for trying this out. However, at least Goodbeing included more than one of these foiled samples to try! The shampoo/conditioner type I received (the Volumizing collection) won’t work well with my hair so it doesn’t really give me much incentive to fully embrace these samples. I am curious to try the collection better fit for my hair, which are the Brightening products and I should be reviewing those soon. Either way, these samples will come with me on future trips as a light, travel-friendly shampoo/conditioner. $12 each for full sizes (10 fl oz.)

Goodbeing Me to We Rafiki Bracelet Education

Me to We Education Rafiki Bracelet: Another one of these bracelets… These Rafiki Bracelets from Me to We are cute and wearable but honestly, I’m a bit tired of seeing them in my boxes. I now have 3 of them. However, they support wonderful causes and are handcrafted by woman artisans in Africa. This particular Rafiki Bracelet provides 1 month of school supplies to a child overseas and you can track the impact online. I do love the colors in this month’s bracelet and these were great to have initially but Goodbeing, let’s include something other than these bracelets in future boxes, okay? $10 each.

I appreciated the mix of products in this box and overall, was very pleased with what I received. I received 3 full-size products (4 including the bracelet) and nicely sized samples, which isn’t too shabby in my book. Plus, I’ve actually still been using all of these products regularly! Another great box, Goodbeing!
