Peachy Pretty: Lily Lolo Pressed Blush and Lip Gloss

If you’re a lover of neutral or nude colors, peach-colored makeup is a great way to transition to bright, bolder colors. A variety of peach colors can range from neutral to more pigmented. I also love that in general, peach shades look good on all skintones. Known for their high performance mineral makeup, Lily Lolo has recently released two beautiful peach shades: Life’s a Peach Pressed Blush* and High Flyer Natural Lip Gloss*.

I haven’t tried much from Lily Lolo’s range of color cosmetics except for lipstick, so I was very curious to finally try out the brand’s Pressed Blush and Lip Gloss options. The UK-based brand recently launched in the U.S. and Canada so now we have more access to this high-quality beauty brand in North America. Besides from finding the whole collection on the brand’s website, you can also purchase Lily Lolo products from Credo Beauty. The colors I reviewed are brand new and currently only available at Lily Lolo.

Lily Lolo currently offers seven Pressed Blush shades (and 16 loose mineral powder blushes) ranging from colors in the pink, peach, and brown families as well as in matte or shimmer finishes. There are nine Natural Lip Gloss shades with color options in the peach or pink families, ranging from sheer to opaque and a few that have shimmer highlights.

Lily Lolo Life's a Beach

The pressed blush shade, Life’s a Peach is described as a matte, medium-peach. To me, this color is definitely lighter than other peach blush shades I have used before and against my skintone, it appears as a more neutral peach shade. I usually have to use 3-4 swipes of blush for noticeable wear as the pigmentation of this blush is quite sheer. The texture of this pressed blush is soft and very finely milled. I like how silky the texture of this blush is and I never notice any product fall out or chalkiness.

I’d be interested to try other colors from Lily Lolo’s Pressed Blush collection as I did enjoy the blush formula. I appreciate that the Pressed Blush formula is free of fragrance and talc, and is also infused with moisturizing jojoba oil, argan oil, and anti-aging ingredient, sea holly extract. Lily Lolo’s blushes are carefully formulated: “Made with pure inert minerals and completely free of gmo, nano particles, talc, additives, harsh chemicals, parabans, gluten, bismuth oxychloride, dyes, fillers, fragrance, preservatives, petroleum based chemicals, and other questionable ingredients.”

I love the slim, travel-friendly, mirrored compact that this pressed blush is packaged in. The convenient and sleek packaging definitely makes me want to have more Lily Lolo blushes in my collection. The lower price for this luxury blush is another pro, especially since many natural and organic pressed blushes are usually $25 or more.

Life’s a Peach leans a bit too neutral and cool to stand out against my skintone and was a bit sheerer than I normally like. I think those with a fairer complexion might enjoy this shade if looking for a peach blush that isn’t too intense or dark.

Lily Lolo High Flyer lipgloss

The Natural Lip Gloss in High Flyer is described as a burnt orange shade. I am not a lip gloss-wearer so usually I’m not too excited by lip glosses however, High Flyer is the perfect nude-peach shade on my lips. I would say High Flyer is less of an orange shade and more of a muted pink-leaning color. This lip gloss is definitely a “my lips but better” shade and doesn’t appear too matte nor overly shiny. I like that this lip gloss is very opaque, glides on super smooth, and is non-sticky.

The inclusion of vitamin e and organic jojoba add to the formula’s gentle and moisturizing properties. The formula is very long lasting and the color doesn’t seem to budge, even after a whole day of wear. It’s a very easy, natural shade to wear and can also add some shine over lipstick.

Lily Lolo Natural Lip Glosses also have a delicious and sweet hint of chocolate scent and flavor to them so there’s no yucky lip gloss taste. I don’t own many lip glosses and don’t really plan on purchasing any more in the future, but I’ve actually really been loving using High Flyer, sometimes more than my daily lipstick!

Oooo these both look so pretty and I’m not even a fan of orange. Too bad that blush isn’t more pigmented, especially with how rich it looks in the pan

Yeah, I was definitely disappointed with how light and muted the blush performed. But I’m definitely interested in the other Lily Lolo blush colors now! Thanks for reading 🙂
