Last year on Black Friday, Pai Skincare, my favorite natural skincare brand from the UK had one of the best deals I’d ever seen. No better time to review it like now, right? Pai usually has great holiday deals but they never reveal any info until Black Friday or after. So maybe this review will help you decide to jump on the deals this year and get excited for what’s to come. (Stay tuned for that!) Although, I personally never need much persuasion when it comes to Pai Skincare goodies…
Previously known as Caru Skincare Co. (which I’ve featured and raved about in past posts), Apoterra Skincare is the rebranding of the same plant and mineral based, all-natural, sustainable, organic skincare line that I fell in love with. The new vintage floral, apothecary-inspired design and product packaging are refreshing and beautiful as ever. And the products? Founder Dominique Caron has refined and enhanced her formulas for even more effective and delicious skincare products. With moisturizers, serums, toners, facial treatments, and bath/body products, Apoterra Skincare has a great product offering that reaches all areas of every skincare routine.
Every new release thatILIA Beauty makes tugs on my heart strings and my wallet. Of course, with their newest Fall 2015 Collection featuring eyeshadow sticks, eyeliners, liquid foundations, and makeup brushes, I couldn’t resist. I’m always drawn to eye products and while I wanted to snatch up all twelve new eye products, I restrained myself and only picked up three. I bought mine as soon as I saw Credo Beauty had them in stock. Here are my thoughts:
Bottega Organica is a natural, organic skincare brand formulated with farm-fresh ingredients and healthy, effective scientific processes. There is so much to say about this high quality, thoughtfully-crafted brand that it requires such care and reflection when writing about them. I find it difficult to describe in words the caliber and luxury of these quality formulas but I’m hoping my in-depth commentary and photographs will suffice…
there’s no doubt there has been a lot of movement in my life recently. an upcoming wedding, a burgeoning blog, a full-time job, going back to school, friendships, faith, inner discovery– all the usual things. for a while, i’ve been feeling like my plate has been way too full and i’m constantly trying to keep up.
Growing up, I had extremely thick, hairy eyebrows that for the most part, I was extremely embarrassed of. Thin, heavily plucked brows were the sign of the times and everywhere I looked I got the message that my naturally bushy brows were anything but cute. As early as middle school, my aunt took me to get my first eyebrow waxing and the obsession snowballed from there. In retrospect I wish I’d learned to own the natural growth and personality of my eyebrows and focused on proper brow maintenance rather than plucking furiously every night.
Nowadays, the trends all point to full and healthy brows and I think it’s about time. I’m more in-tune with natural brow care and sadly, trying to regrow my eyebrows back to their natural, hairier existence. I’ve never shared about my favorite eyebrow products before, so here are the beauty products I’m currently using to maintain a polished, healthy brow:
Out of many things that irritate me on a normal basis, one of my biggest pet peeves is when cashiers automatically assume I’d like a plastic bag with my purchase. The scene of the crime is usually at the grocery store and more often than not, I either have to stop everything and re-pack my items into reusable bags I brought with me, or stomp off with a handful of plastic bags feeling defeated and upset.
I’ll admit, as a busy woman on-the-go it’s easy to forget to take my reusable tote bags everywhere with me and let’s face it, hard to find bags that aren’t dorky-looking nor require extra space. That’s where Bag The Habit comes in, with beautiful, ergonomic, and convenient reusable bags made from 100% eco-friendly fabrics.
