The folks at Brilliant Earth reached out to me to create inspiration style boards featuring their new Autumn-inspired, Wisteria Collection. Brilliant Earth is a jewelry company that provides beautiful, high-quality jewelry originating from ethical and environmentally responsible sourcing.

“Our goal at Brilliant Earth is to make jewelry as beautiful as it can be. We are passionate about cultivating a more ethical, transparent, and sustainable jewelry industry.”

The brand features conflict free diamond jewelry made with recycled gold and platinum among  delicate engagement rings and other fine jewelry. Besides from implementing strict sourcing and labor standards, the company donates 5% of their profits to communities harmed by the jewelry industry. Brilliant Earth also works with nonprofit organizations to educate others about the social and environmental issues within the jewelry industry. Learn more about the company’s mission here.

“The beauty of falling leaves and the graceful curves of bare autumn branches combine in fluid designs that captured our designers’ imaginations. Pave diamonds bring a dazzling light to nature’s beauty.”

I admire Brilliant Earth’s mission to provide beautiful, ethically sourced jewelry and their initiative to foster change through education. Similar to their permanent collections, the Wisteria Collection is inspired by nature but specifically, the Autumn season. The Wisteria Collection illustrates the splendor of Fall through sparkling jewels, twisting details and subtle movement. See the full collection online at the Brilliant Earth website.

These earrings inspired me to create a style board representing a woman who is mysterious and intriguing, a world traveler, stylish and colorful, fashionable and timeless. She embodies chicness and femininity while also bold and avant-garde.

I also loved the Plumeria pieces in the collection and was inspired to create a style board surrounding the type of woman I envisioned the design embodies. She is elegant as she is artistic, simplistic, enjoys nature, bright colors, art and can just slip on a dress and boots while choosing stunning jewelry for everyday wear.

“Inspired by the Autumn Love…pieces that look at once dynamic and delicate, contemporary and timeless, much like nature itself.”

Warby Parker Releases Winter Collection Eyewear

warby parker winter collection 1

The founders of Warby Parker were four close friends determined to create an innovative solution for boutique-quality eyewear at affordable prices. Using a web-based sales approach and cutting out expensive middleman production and distribution fees, Warby Parker’s vintage-inspired eyewear provided a groundbreaking alternative for smart, trend-seeking, spectacle-sporting individuals everywhere.

Warby Parker was founded with a rebellious spirit and a lofty objective: to create boutique-quality, classically crafted eyewear at a revolutionary price point.

As if it isn’t early enough for me to be lusting after mugs of hot chocolate, chilly nights by the fireplace and outdoor ice skating, Warby Parker released their holiday wishlist-worthy Winter Collection today. Inspired by the spirit of winter and all the memorable moments that the season brings, the Winter Collection features six new eyewear shapes in five new colors as well as classic Warby Parker frames in new, cold-weather hues. Expect a handful of dark, tortoise-shell browns, rusty oranges and evergreen-inspired sage colors.

Just like their permanent collection of frames, the Winter Collection features unisex, prescription lens frames for only $95 per pair. In addition, with any pair of glasses you purchase Warby Parker provides a pair to someone in need. Learn more about Warby Parker’s do-good mentality and how they’re helping local communities here.

I can definitely imagine myself pairing any of these rustic meets modern designs with my cold-weather wardrobe for endless wintertime fun. Annnd my boyfriend did say it’s time I should get some new glasses….

Winter’s best diversions—doubling up on thermals, watching your breath steam up the window, scribbling through a Sunday crossword puzzle—deserve a proper pair of glasses to bring them into focus.

Take a peek at the gorgeous new Winter Collection below and visit Warby Parker for more details:

They make good companions for rooting around a bookcase, dashing through the snow, getting up to indoor mischief. The possibilities stretch on as shorter days give way to longer nights.

You can purchase the new Winter Collection frames now at Warby Parker stores and showrooms or at Learn more and see the entire collection on the Warby Parker website .

If you can’t decide on the right pair for you, try Warby Parker’s Virtual Try-On or Home Try-On: pick up to 5 frames to try on at home, shipped to you for free with no obligation to buy. I think the Home Try-On is a pretty awesome feature for someone as incredibly indecisive as myself.

My favorites from the new collection are the Durand, Lyle and Seymour frames. Which frames from the Winter Collection are your favorites?

Self-sustaining Terrarium Jewelry from With Roots

I’ve always loved the way one can enjoy the beauty of nature whether outdoors or indoors through the form of potted plants, flowers and herbs. Sometimes you just need a little reminder of Mother Nature on your desk or kitchen counter to help you breathe and get through the day. Take a look at these fab jewelry pieces from the company, With Roots where you not only take a bit of nature with you, you can wear it.

WIth Roots is a Brooklyn-based jewelry line designed by photographer, Sharon Goldberg. The idea for this unique collection started when Goldberg designed some custom terrariums for a friend:

“He liked them so much he told me he wished he could wear them! I did my research and made it happen, and With Roots was born.”

These tiny terrariums dangle from precious sterling silver or gold chains, adorned with charms and encased in beautifully crafted glass. These eye-catching pieces are real, self-sustaining terrariums which in moderate sunlight and temperature will collect enough moisture to hydrate and maintain itself. Intended for daily wear, the motto for these living necklaces, bracelets and earrings is, “The more you wear it, the happier these plants are!”

For anyone who can’t keep a house plant alive or just needs more green in their life, these would make fun and gorgeous gifts. I’m definitely putting these on my list for all my nature-loving, stylish friends!

For a limited time, you can purchase selected pieces at a discount on (click here for my special invite) or shop the full collection on the With Roots websiteWhat do you think about wearing these With Roots terrariums?

Your Fave 90s Cartoons Reimagined for NYFW

Ah, the good ol’ 90s aka my childhood: awesome T.V. shows, addictive girl/boy bands, questionable fashion trends, sparkly makeup….

What better way to kick off New York Fashion Week than these fun designs inspired by popular 90s cartoon characters and the brands they’d wear for Fashion Week shows. Dreamed up by Swagger New York in collaboration with designer, Michele Moricci these pics are so spot on and super cute! Missing the 90s even more.

Totally loving all the looks but my faves are Captain Planet, Daria and Sailor Moon! Which ones are yours?

Don’t Miss This: A Night for Green Beauty NYFW!

Green beauty bloggers and enthusiasts are abuzz about an upcoming event for green beauty during New York Fashion Week in September. Hosted by the botanical ingredient-based skincare line, La Bella Figura, “A Night For Green Beauty” will be a pop-up event at James Corbett Studio on September 4th, 2013. Attendees will be able to shop, mingle with leaders from the organic beauty industry and get pampered with organic beauty makeovers and tips.

Just look at the list of amazing beauty and skincare brands that will be featured below! I’m such a fangirl of all these brands but a few I’m most excited about are Kjaer Weis, One Love Organics, ILIA Beauty, Kahina Giving Beauty and Lina Hanson.

I first learned about this event from The Chalkboard Mag and am beyond excited to attend. Not only will there be top Organic beauty and skincare brands to shop from (many of which I’ve been lusting to try) but I’m sure I’ll feel starstruck as some of my favorite green beauty bloggers and industry leaders will all be there!

I’ve definitely penciled this in as a “TO NOT MISS” event on my schedule! Will you be attending?

A Fresh Look for Any Summer Event

Fresh Summer

Summer is officially here and it’s heating up! I like to keep things simple as the weather gets warmer, so simple, neutral makeup are the base of my beauty routine. Stay cool and make a splash at any summer event in a light, flowing dress paired with  nude espadrilles, large sunglasses, wrap bracelets and a brightly, colored crossover bag.

When it’s hot outside, I tend to simplify my makeup routine so products like the ILIA Beauty Multi-Task Stick, which can be worn as a blush, lip tint or eyeshadow, are top on my summer makeup list. A moisturizing concealer is a must when I dont want to wear much on my face and the 100% Pure Cosmetics Fruit Pigmented Concealer is not only made from super fruits that are good for your skin but it also includes SPF 20 to protect you from the sun’s harmful rays.

Looking forward to kicking off the summer with more July fourth celebrations this weekend!

What are some products you love to use as we enter the summer season?
