Subscription Box Success: March Goodbeing Box (+ a Giveaway!)

March Goodbeing Box

This month’s Goodbeing box was probably the best box I’ve received so far! I’ve been receiving these boxes thanks to Goodbeing so that I can experience their services and share my honest response. Goodbeing is the “OG” personalized, monthly subscription box for natural beauty and wellness goods. Previously known as Goodebox, Goodbeing  has very affordable pricing plans and partners with many trusted, top-notch brands to provide what I believe is the best subscription box out there for green beauty and wellness.  For more info about Goodbeing and to see what I received in January and February, check out my post HERE

While my January and February boxes had some disappointing products and tiny samples, the March box was an instant step up from the past boxes I received. Lots of interesting picks in this month’s box and tiny samples were nowhere to be seen:

March Goodbeing Box_Orglamix Pangea Organics

Pangea Organics Lip Balm, Pyrenees Lavender with Cardamom (full size): Pangea Organics is a skincare brand I’d always wanted to try but never got around to. The brand is known for trusted organic products though they are a bit on the pricey side. This lip balm is a really nice size (.25 oz), but the retail price alone is $14! That said, this lip balm performs very well for that high price tag. Formulated with organic tamanu, sunflower, jojoba, hemp, and shea oils, I really enjoy how deeply hydrating this lip balm is. It doesn’t feel too soft nor melts too easily like some other lip balms, the texture holds up quite nicely and comfortably ensures long-lasting moisture for my dry lips. The lavender scent is also quite pleasant and also unique for a lip balm. If I were in the market for a higher priced lip balm that provides great hydration, I’d definitely consider purchasing one from Pangea Organics. $14, .25 oz.
Ingredients: HELIANTHUS ANNUUS (SUNFLOWER) SEED OIL*, CERA ALBA (BEESWAX)*, SIMMONDSIA CHINENSIS (JOJOBA) OIL*, LECITHIN (SOY)*, ALCOHOL (ETHANOL), ELETTARIA CARDAMOMUM (CARDAMOM) OIL*, LAVANDULA HYBRIDA (LAVENDER) OIL*, LAVANDULA ANGUSTIFOLIA (LAVENDER) OIL*, CITRUS SINENSIS (SWEET ORANGE ) OIL*, BUTYROSPERMUM PARKII (SHEA) BUTTER*, CALOPHYLLUM TACAMAHACA (TAMANU) OIL*, ALOE BARBADENSIS (ALOE VERA) GEL*, TOCOPHEROL (VITAMIN E) *ORGANIC INGREDIENTS. THIS PRODUCT IS GLUTEN-FREE.

Orglamix Enlighten Luminizer in Illume: I’d never heard of this brand before but was definitely intrigued since this is a cream highlighter, a type of product I love using. Interestingly, this color could easily be a dupe for RMS Beauty’s newest illuminating product, the Master Mixer. Orglamix’s Illume is a similar rose gold, bronze shade that leaves a very flattering sheen on the skin.

Orglamix Enlighten Luminizer Illume swatch

Made from a lovely blend of 100% natural ingredients like coconut oil, avocado oil, rosemary oil, and lavender oil, Illume also smells so delightful whenever I apply, it’s sweet, spicy, and fresh to my nose. While the formula is very creamy and absorbent like my favorite RMS products, I find that I need to use more of Illume to really see it on my skin. This sample size is a generous size to try out the product and I do enjoy experimenting with this shade and wearing it. Better than RMS? Probably not, but I’m glad that now I know about Orglamix and am interested to try more from the brand’s natural, cruelty-free, mineral-based products. I definitely enjoyed having this product in my box this month. $18, 1.4g (full size).
Ingredients: Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Euphorihia Cerifera (Candellila) Wax, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Rosmarinus officinalis (Rosemary) Extract. May contain [+/-]: Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Mica (CI 77019) & Love.

Me to We Rafiki Bracelet

Me to We Water Rafiki Bracelet (full size): Though it was a bummer to see a repeat product (I received a Rafiki Bracelet in my February box), I didn’t mind too much because I personally liked the color of this bracelet better. The mission of these bracelets from Me to We are great and this bracelet specifically celebrates World Water Day by supporting clean water projects through the organization Free The Children. The bracelet wasn’t anything I was overly excited to see again, but it’s a nice “full size” product. $10, 1 bracelet.

March Goodbeing Box_American Provenance Prim Botanicals

American Provenance Natural Solid Perfume, Virtues & Vices (full size): This product is so large for a solid perfume, I initially thought it was a body cream! I haven’t tried many solid perfumes before, so I quite curious about this product. American Provenance is a Wisconsin-based brand featuring all-natural personal care and grooming products for men and women. Their popular solid perfumes come in 4 interesting scents. I love the inventive scent names and cute labels! The one I received is called Virtues & Vices and described as “soft, memorable & traditional,” which is a true description. Formulated with grapeseed oil, beeswax, and an EO blend of grapefruit, bergamot, and jasmine, Virtues & Vices is very fresh and verdant but the scent is also very muted. In my opinion, the waxy texture doesn’t seem to absorb well on my skin and the scent doesn’t last very long. Normally, solid perfumes have a texture that easily melt onto the skin to absorb better but I found this hard to apply. I used my fingernail to scrape the product out of the packaging and rub into my skin. I do really love this scent but I’m not sure how effective the product is for me. I’m continuing to use it though it has more of the effect of the scent of a body cream rather than a perfume. Very curious about other American Provenance products though! $12.50, 60g.
Ingredients: All-natural Grapeseed Oil, Beeswax, Essential Oil Blend

Prim Botanicals The Body Oil: Prim Botanicals is a lovely brand with a small, yet beautifully handmade product collection. I’ve tried their whole range before and loved them. The brand reformulated their popular Body Oil and I received a generous trial size in my March Goodbeing box. The Body Oil smells like a vibrant and fresh garden with a small hint of spice thanks to jasmine, rose, bergamot, and black pepper. This oil is fast absorbing and leaves skin feeling silky smooth and smelling angelic. My dry skin feels so hydrated when I apply this, and never feels greasy. The Body Oil is best applied while skin is still damp and can also be used as a bath oil. This trial size is also perfect for traveling and large enough to get more than one use out of. Love it! $54, 4oz (full size).
Ingredients: Corylus Avellana (Hazelnut Oil), Camellia Oleifera (Camellia Oil), Prunus Dulcis (Almond Oil), Carapa Guianensis (Andiroba Oil), Pentaclethra Macroloba (Pracaxi Oil), Proprietary blend of: Jasminum (Jasmine), Rosa Centifolia (Rose), Piper Nigrum (Black Pepper), Citrus Bergamia (Bergaptene-free Bergamot), Rosmarinus officinalis (Rosemary)

March Goodbeing Box_products

Overall, this box has 3 full-size products and 2 sample-sized products. But even the products that were “samples” were generously sized and allowed me more than enough product to try out in-depth. I’ve been getting the least use out of the Solid Perfume but other than that, I have been using everything else on a regular basis. I also think this box had a wonderful variety of product types (skincare, lip care, bath, makeup, fragrance, accessories), that I really enjoyed everything I received. This box was definitely a success in my opinion. Good job, Goodbeing!
